GREAT FALLS, Mont. — BNSF Railway has received a special-use permit from Glacier National Park to conduct emergency avalanche hazard mitigation work on the southern boundary of the park as a result of heavy snowfall Tuesday. Work was schedule to begin Tuesday morning, said Ross Lane, a BNSF spokesman.
