DOON, Iowa — An effort to alleviate concerns brought a Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway spokesman to N’West Iowa on Thursday. Citizens of Dickinson County became worried after discovering vegetation from the June 22 crude oil spill was being deposited at the Dickinson County landfill near Spirit Lake.
