NEW YORK — BNSF Railway said Thursday that Paul Bischler has been named vice president and chief sourcing officer, effective Oct. 1.
He will replace Dennis Johnson, who is leaving the company on Sept. 30 to dedicate more time to family and other personal interests.
Julie Piggott, previously vice president of finance and treasurer, will succeed Bischler.
BNSF Railway, a subsidiary of Burlington Northern Sante Fe Corp., operates one of the largest North American rail networks, with about 32,000 route miles in 28 states and two Canadian provinces.
