RICHMOND, Calif. — No one was injured Thursday afternoon when a single freight train car derailed near the Point Pinole Regional Shoreline in Richmond.
Around 2:10 p.m., an empty car on a Santa Fe-Burlington Northern Railroad train overturned near the intersection of Giant and Atlas roads, said Lena Kent, Santa Fe spokesperson.
Train service was not interrupted, and Kent said she expected the car to be righted within hours.
