FORT WORTH, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation has closed the northbound lane of Highway 287 south of Decatur after a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train derailed.
The train jumped its tracks and spewed coal from about 30 cars onto the highway and railroad tracks.
When crews arrived on the scene, one of the rail cars had slid onto the highway.
Officials are investigating the cause of the derailment.
No one was injured in the accident.
