SEATTLE — A train ran out of track — literally — and ended up in the street near Safeco Field Thursday.
The freight train went off the track under the south end of the Alaskan Way Viaduct at the intersection to King Street.
The track ended but the train kept going over a sidewalk and into the street.
A spokesperson for Burlington Northern Santa Fe says it’s not clear yet why the train rolled off the tracks, but he says it did no damage to the street or the engine and nobody was hurt.
