FORT WORTH, Texas — The Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Company (BNSF) today announced the launch of BNSF TransBid(TM), a new online marketplace that connects shippers and transloaders by providing fast and easy access to bids for truck and warehousing needs.
On the Web at http://www.bnsftransload.com or through BNSF iPower, this industry-first online marketplace allows shippers to post shipment opportunities as well as any value-added services desired, such as tarping or barcoding. Transload companies will be alerted by e-mail when opportunities arise in their areas; or they can log onto TransBid(TM) to see all the available opportunities. Once transloaders submit their opportunities, shippers can view all the bids of interested transloaders.
TransBid(TM) is the most recent addition to BNSF iPower(TM) — a suite of technology tools designed to make shipping as easy and effective as possible.

Only BNSF premier transload facilities will be bidding on freight through TransBid(TM), giving shippers access to top-quality transload companies that have met BNSF’s standards of quality, professionalism and customer service.
