PIERRE, S.D. — In another measure of grain trains booming, the number of train carloads of grain shipped in the week ended Aug. 6 was pegged at 24,120, up 12.1 percent over the same period in 2015, according to the Association of American Railroads, which tracks all rail traffic weekly.
