Bob Peters was elected General Chairman of the BLET’s Norfolk Southern-Northern Lines General Committee of Adjustment at the GCA’s quadrennial meeting at BLET National Division headquarters on October 20-21, 2025. The NS-N GCA represents more than 2,400 active and retired members in 26 different Divisions.
Peters, a Norfolk Southern locomotive engineer, has been a member of BLET Division 537 (Fort Wayne, Ind.) since May 2000. He has served the NS-N GCA as 1st Vice Chairman since 2013.
Peters began serving as General Chairman earlier this month following the retirement of Dewayne Dehart. During the meeting at headquarters, Dehart was presented with an engraved brass bell to celebrate his railroad career that included 12 years of service as General Chairman of the NS-N GCA (2013-2025). Dehart has been a member of BLET Division 548 (Peru, Ind.) since 2001.
Also elected at this week’s meeting were: 1st Vice Chairman Anthony Cerimele, Division 234 (Columbus, Ohio); 2nd Vice Chairman Pat Redmond, Division 607 (Cleveland, Ohio); 3rd Vice Chairman Matt Baran, Division 2 (Jackson, Mich.); 4th Vice Chairman Sam Schatz, Division 447 (Bellevue, Ohio); and Secretary-Treasurer Brian Mills, Division 273 (Conneaut, Ohio).
Alternate officers elected were: Alternate Secretary-Treasurer Bruce Tatgenhorst, Division 255 (Steubenville, Ohio); 1st Alternate Vice Chairman Jacob Wise, Division 348 (Elkhart, Ind.); and 2nd Alternate Vice Chairman Bill Wolfe, Division 106 (Muncie, Ind.). Elected to serve as Trustees were: Chris King, Division 831 (Detroit, Mich.); Joe Kron, Division 306 (Crestline, Ohio); and Bill Wolfe, Division 106 (Muncie, Ind.).
