MONTREAL — Bombardier Inc. said on Wednesday it received an order worth C$227 million ($163 million) from German railways to supply 60 additional regional trains.
Bombardier, the world’s largest maker of passenger trains, said the total value of the contract was C$342 million, including work to be done by its consortium partner Alstom LHB.
The Canadian group said deliveries should start in May 2004. It said it had already delivered more than 300 similar trains to the German rail operator, out of 456 ordered.
