MONTREAL — Bombardier Inc. said on Monday it received a C$90 million ($57 million) order from the Geneva transport authority for 21 Cityrunner low-floor trams, with an option for 17 additional vehicles, Reuters reports.

The Canadian aerospace and transport group said the trams will be delivered to Transports Publics Genevois between mid-2004 and mid-2005. They will be built in Vienna, Austria, and Villeneuve, Switzerland, while the propulsion systems will be made in Mannheim, Germany.

Bombardier stock was up 13 Canadian cents to a 10-week high of C$5.91 a share on Monday morning on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The stock dropped to a year low of C$3.13 a share last month as the financial restructuring of U.S. airlines increased worries over Bombardier’s orders for regional jets.
