RICHMOND, Va. — Henrico County firefighters responded this afternoon to a box car fire that is causing heavy smoke to drift over the CSX Corp.’s Acca Yard switching facility and Interstate 64 near Bryan Park, authorities say.

The fire poses no hazard or toxic materials concern but area residents will likely notice white smoke over the next couple of hours, said Assistant Henrico Fire Marshal Will Shumate.

The car that caught fire contains bounded, shredded paper and was being worked on while on a spur in the rail yard, Shumate said. The fire should not cause any rail or traffic delays, he added.
