OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Billionaire investor Warren Buffett’s holding company has revealed a new investment in power wholesaler NRG Energy Inc.
Berkshire Hathaway Inc. also has doubled its stake in Union Pacific Corp.
The company filed a quarterly update on its U.S. stock holdings with the Securities and Exchange Commission Thursday.
The documents show Berkshire held 3.2 million shares of NRG (NRG, Fortune 500) stock as of June 30.
They also show that the company Buffett leads held 8.9 million shares of Union Pacific (UNP, Fortune 500) stock. That’s up from the 4.45 million shares of the railroad’s stock that Berkshire held at the end of the first quarter.
