DECATUR, Ill. — From his view at the top of the East Decatur Tower in the Norfolk Southern Corp. rail yard, Don Miner can manage the traffic coming in and out of the Decatur terminal. How the flow of traffic is managed often can pass unnoticed until something goes wrong, but a coordinated effort throughout the system from Miner and other crew members manages to keep everything running as planned.
