MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis native and former Canadian National Railway president Hunter Harrison’s first instruction to his successor, Claude Mongeau, was “Don’t forget Memphis.” It was item one in Harrison’s handwritten notes to his former chief financial officer.
