CALGARY — Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd., the country’s second-biggest railroad, said profit in the first quarter tripled on higher revenue from shipments of coal and grain.
Net income was C$80.7 million ($64 million) or 50 cents a share, from C$23.5 million, or 15 cents a year ago, the Calgary- based company said in a Canada New Wire release today.
