GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — Central Nebraskans continued to clean up Tuesday after a strong line of thunderstorms swept through late on Memorial Day, producing winds as high as 90 mph and causing damage throughout the area.
Union Pacific Railroad operations were shut down from about 9:30 p.m. Monday to 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in Grand Island as the storm knocked down power lines across the railroad tracks.
