Class Is employed 152,718 people in the United States as of mid-July, down 10.71 percent year over year. But when compared with mid-June, total employment reflected a 0.19 percent increase, according to the Surface Transportation Board. Transportation (train and engine) was the only employment category out of six to show an increase last month compared with mid-June’s employment figures. The workforce in that category rose 1.30 percent to 58,934.
