ROCKFORD, Ill. — Last week, U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-IL, accused the CN Railway of delaying negotiations with the state of Illinois about operating passenger grains on its line from Chicagoland to Rockford and west to Freeport and Galena. On Tuesday, CN issued a response saying that the railroad isn’t delaying talks with the state.
