EDMONTON, Alberta — Crews are working to restore a rail line east of Edmonton after 30 CN Rail cars went off the tracks in Strathcona County at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The derailment happened at Highway 630 and Range Road 211, near the south entrance to the Antler Lake subdivision east of Sherwood Park.
No one was injured and CN said none of the cars contained hazardous materials.
The entrance to the subdivision is not blocked, but the RCMP are asking people to slow down when they’re approaching or passing crews working in the area.
