ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Union Pacific Corp. and other U.S. railroads can expect more scrutiny on worker fatigue and other safety issues this year.

Two Democrats in the U.S. House, James Oberstar of Minnesota and Corrine Brown of Florida, said they would work with U.S. agencies to bolster rail oversight.

Oberstar chairs the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and Brown heads the panel’s railroad subcommittee.
