BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. — The payroll problems at NJ Transit have persisted for several weeks in which several hundred people were not paid for their normal shifts, others were paid the wrong amount and some said overtime hours were not accounted for in their checks. This affected mainly front-line workers, who are paid hourly, as opposed to salaried employees, some officials said.
