TORONTO — Canadian Pacific Railway (CP.TO) said on Wednesday that its clerical workers ratified a three-year labor agreement.
The country’s second-biggest railway said the agreement, which was reached in mid-July, provides for a 6 percent wage increase for the three years between 2010 and 2012. The clerical workers are part of the United Steelworkers.
Further details of the agreement were not provided and neither the company or the union were immediately available to comment.
The last agreement, which expires Dec. 31, 2009, provided wage and benefit improvements, along with provisions designed to retain and attract staff. ($1=$1.07 Canadian)
