VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. said on Wednesday that Michael Lambert has been appointed chief financial officer.
Lambert, who is now an executive at retailer Canadian Tire Corp.
CP Rail has been searching for a CFO since March when Michael Waites left the railway for a job at Finning International.
The railroad, which operates more than 13,500 miles (21,600 km) of track in Canada and the United States, appointed Fred Green as its chief executive earlier this year. Green’s former post of chief operating officer is not being filled.
Brian Grassby who had been serving as acting CFO will resume his duties as CP Rail’s comptroller, a spokesman said.
