JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — CSX expects the big drops it has seen in its coal-shipping business to slow over the coming year as utilities burn through the inventories they built up during the mild winter. By year’s end, the coal business — a major one for the Jacksonville-based railroad and logistics company — should stabilize, helping the company’s bottom line.
