LONDON and MADRID — CSX Transportation (CSXT) and Naviera del Odiel S.A. announced today that they have entered into an agreement to jointly market CSXT services to shippers in Spain and Portugal.
Under terms of the agreement, Naviera del Odiel will represent CSXT and actively promote CSXT’s services in North America to shippers, forwarders and logistics managers in Spain and Portugal. The company will promote CSXT’s range of rail-based services, identify product development opportunities and strengthen the CSXT brand with its large customer base. This cooperative agreement supports CSXT’s increased focus on international commerce and the company’s strategy aimed at increasing its commercial presence in Europe. CSXT also has an existing partnership with Walter Vollemaere, principal of WV Consulting based in Belgium.
Naviera del Odiel S.A., headquartered in Madrid, is a recognized market leader in a broad range of transportation and logistics services.
