AUGUST, Ga. — Richmond County deputies responded to an accident involving a Norfolk Southern train striking a CSX train on Wednesday evening, February 24, near Glass Factory Avenue in August, Ga. Richmond County dispatchers confirmed a call of an accident with injuries involving a train came in at 6:02 p.m. Officials later confirmed that a train had derailed in the incident.
