BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Officials with CSX railroad in coming weeks will present details of a land assessment and make a formal request to the Birmingham Housing Authority and residents regarding an expanded rail line in southwest Birmingham. The housing authority board had granted the railroad permission to study land near Cooper Green Homes for the planned rail line expansion.
