CHATSWORTH, Ga. — Promising to remove 50,000 truckloads from Georgia highways, state officials signed an agreement Tuesday to develop a rail-truck “inland port” terminal to serve shippers in north Georgia and neighboring states with a more convenient route to the port of Savannah 350 miles away.
