SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — An early morning accident on Blaine Island in South Charleston left one man injured and in danger of losing one of his legs.

The accident occurred around 1:00 a.m. this morning when a 39-year-old CSX employee from Milton was struck by a slow-moving train while working along a set of railroad tracks.

The worker was taken by paramedics to CAMC General in Charleston. His condition is not known at this time.

The tracks are located on property belonging to Dow Chemical.
