JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — CSX Transportation (CSXT) has named Jim Marks as vice president, Safety, effective immediately. In his new role, Marks will report to Tony Ingram, executive vice president and chief operating officer of CSXT.
Formerly, Marks served as assistant vice president of CSXT’s Risk Management department, a role which included prevention of safety risks to employees and the public as well as the enhancement of compliance with railroad regulations. Marks helped create and direct numerous programs, including a safety incentive program, employee wellness initiatives, road-rail intersection clear-cutting policies, and employee training.
“Jim Marks is a 30-year railroad veteran with a track record of creating innovative programs and delivering results,” said Ingram. “Under Jim’s leadership, we will continue to build on our track record of safety improvement.”
