CLEVELAND, March 31 — The Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund is accepting applications for assistance from members in the state of Kentucky after severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and flooding caused major damage on February 5-6, 2008.

Kentucky residents in the following counties are eligible to apply for assistance:

Allen, Christian, Fayette, Hardin, Hart, Meade, Mercer, Monroe, and Muhlenberg counties.

If you or someone you know needs help, please call the Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund office at: (202) 624-8971. If you were impacted by the storms, please download and complete the “Request for Help” form available below. The completed “Request for Help” forms (including all requested documentation) must be returned to the Teamsters by Monday, April 7, 2008.

To help increase awareness of this valuable assistance, members who live and work in the affected areas are asked to print and post the following notice at their places of work:
