CLEVELAND, November 21 — BLET Division 139 in Houston, Texas, is collecting donations for the family of Brother Jeffrey Thomas Peacock, 38, who passed away on November 19 after a year-long battle with cancer.
A member of Division 139, Brother Peacock is survived by his loving wife Joanna and three children: Joshua, Elizabeth and Daniel.
Donations collected by the division will be given to the family for use at Christmas.
“Please keep his family in your prayers as this will be a tremendous hardship on them this holiday season,” said Randall Hardwick, Secretary-Treasurer of Division 139.
Brother Peacock hired out on the Union Pacific Railroad and joined the Brotherhood on Dec. 1, 2003.
“As recently as September, he attended his Division’s monthly union meeting and was taking chemotherapy,” Hardwick said. “The outlook was positive, but this just shows us all how short life really is.”
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on November 22 at WoodsEdge Community Church, 3333 South Panther Creek Dr., The Woodlands, Texas 77381. Visitation will be on November 21 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the church.
Donations will be given to Mrs. Peacock on December 3 and can be mailed to Brother Hardwick or Division 139 President Louis R. Martin at the following:
