NEW YORK — The Dow Jones Transportation Average slumped 12 points, or 0.1%, in morning trading Tuesday, to buck the gains in the broader market indexes, with the shares of East-coast based railroad operators CSX Corp. and Norfolk Southern Corp. the biggest drags.
