PORTLAND, Ore. — The U.S government has to get on board passenger rail. High-speed rail moves people quickly and safely all over the world. U.S. highways and airports are crowded, and getting more congested all the time. Last year, 30-million-plus Americans took yesterday’s passenger trains. Just think how many would ride tomorrow’s.
