Emidio Gonzalez Jr. was elected as Chairman of the BLET Nevada State Legislative Board on September 26. Gonzalez is a Union Pacific locomotive engineer and a member of BLET Division 158 (Sparks, Nevada). He has been an active member of the BLET since 1999 and, in 2017, was elected to serve as the Board’s 1st Vice Chairman.

Also elected were: 1st Vice Chairman Chad Hollub, Division 766 (Las Vegas); 2nd Vice Chairman Forrest King-Shaw, Division 766 (Las Vegas); Secretary-Treasurer Keith Underwood, Division 158 (Sparks); and Alternate Secretary-Treasurer Forrest King-Shaw, Division 158 (Sparks). Elected to serve as members of the Executive Committee at Large were: Mark Roberts, Division 766 (Las Vegas); and Joshua Gleason, Division 158 (Sparks). Elected to serve as Trustees were: Will Bartlett, Division 158 (Sparks); Justin White, Division 158 (Sparks); and James Mikoliczyk, Division 158 (Sparks).

Chairman Gonzalez recognized outgoing Chairman Matthew Parker for his leadership and service to the Brotherhood. Parker served the Nevada SLB as Chairman from 2013 through 2025.

“I am honored to be elected Chairman of the Nevada State Legislative Board,” Gonzalez said. “It has been a privilege to work alongside Chairman Matthew Parker, and I look forward to continuing that legacy of advocacy while tackling the challenges our members face.”

The BLET’s Nevada State Legislative Board represents 350 active and retired members from two BLET Divisions.
