CINCINNATI, Ohio — The Federal Railroad Administration is investigating a Friday morning accident that killed a Queensgate railyard worker, television station WCPO reported.

Police said a CSX employee was driving a company car on a set of train tracks in the railyard when the vehicle was struck by an automated train that was backing up.

The car was apparently dragged by the train for 300 yards before rolling over and ejecting the driver, who was found underneath the vehicle. The accident happened shortly after 5 a.m.

Emergency crews thought it was a car fire at first until they found the body underneath the vehicle.

The victim, Gary Oak, 51, of Carrolton, Ky., was a mechanic and worked for the railroad for 25 years.
