HOLLAND, Texas — Crews today cleared the tracks after 18 empty freight cars derailed in the Bell County town of Holland.
Nobody was hurt in yesterday’s derailment involving a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train bound for the Austin area.
The line reopened but the derailed cars remained at the scene, as investigators try to determine what caused them to leave the tracks.
BNSF is based in Fort Worth.
