OMAHA, Neb. — Union Pacific Corporation today announced that Erroll B. Davis, Jr., chairman and CEO of Alliant Energy Corporation, has been elected to the company’s board of directors.

Davis, 59, holds an engineering degree from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He joined Wisconsin Power and Light Company in 1978, becoming president in 1987. In 1998, he took the helm of Alliant Energy Corporation, which was formed by the merger of WPL Holdings, IES Industries Inc. and Interstate Power Company. Davis also serves on the Carnegie-Mellon University Board of Trustees.

“Erroll is well-known as a leader in the energy field and we are very pleased that he has agreed to join our board,” said Dick Davidson, chairman and chief executive officer of Union Pacific Corporation.

Davis’ election brings the membership of the board to eleven, nine of whom are non-management.
