NEWARK, N.J. — Service on New Jersey Transit’s Montclair-Boonton rail line is temporarily suspended due to a downed tree near the Glen Ridge station.

NJ Transit spokesman Joe Dee says tickets are being cross-honored on DeCamp and NJ Transit bus lines.

Dee suggests commuters take a train from New York’s Penn Station to Newark Broad Street Station, where they can transfer to New Jersey Transit bus lines 11, 28 and 29. Those buses will operate along a route parallel to the Montclair-Boonton train line.

DeCamp buses, available at Port Authority in New York, also operate along the same routes.
