CLEVELAND, April 10 — Chair Teresa Bryant, Brother Scott Frederick and the members of BLET Division 30 (Atlanta) have the honor of hosting the final Southeastern Meeting Association (SMA) from June 14-19, 2015, at Lake Lanier Islands in Buford, Ga.
Delegates to the Third National Convention in 2014 voted to change the BLET’s regional meeting structure so that there will be only two regional meetings per year beginning in 2016. As a result, the 88th SMA later this year will be the final SMA. Sister Bryant, Brother Frederick and the members of the Arrangements Committee are planning an SMA that you will not want to miss.
Guests will stay at the Lanier Islands Legacy Lodge in Buford, Ga. Those who make hotel reservations by April 15 will be entered into a drawing to receive two days of free lodging at the Lanier Islands Legacy Lodge. The deadline for SMA convention registration is May 15, 2015.
Scheduled events will include the opening ceremony, several days of workshops, a banquet dinner, as well as the annual SMA golf outing. Reservations for the golf outing, which will be held on June 16, must be made by April 29, 2015. Registration and a welcome reception will be held on June 14, the banquet will be the evening of June 18, and hotel check out and travel home will be on June 19.
