SHREVEPORT, La. — In roughly eight months, north Louisiana should have a plan for passenger rail. That is the time frame HNTB estimates it’ll take to complete a passenger rail feasibility study.
The Missouri-based firm was selected Thursday to conduct the analysis by the Northwest Louisiana Council of Government’s transportation committee. Burk-Kleinpeter and Moore & Associates were also considered for the job. HNTB is wrapping up a similar passenger rail study between Baton Rouge and New Orleans that took roughly eight months.
