TOLEDO, Ohio — Five cars of a Norfolk Southern grain train derailed in a South Toledo neighborhood yesterday afternoon, with two cars spilling soybeans when they overturned.
Rudy Husband, a railroad spokesman, said a yard crew was coupling the train together when the accident occurred about 4 p.m. No one was injured, and a cause for the accident was not immediately known.
The derailment occurred near the 1500 block of Watova Road on a track that runs from downtown Toledo to Maumee.
