AUGUSTA, Ga. — Former Graniteville millworkers are still being sought for free lung testing as part of a study examining the long-term impacts of chlorine exposure. The Graniteville Recovery And Chlorine Epidemiology (GRACE) Study needs hundreds more participants to identify and document any long-term lung problems that have occurred since the Jan. 6, 2005 Norfolk Southern train accident and chlorine spill that killed nine people and sent more than 250 to hospitals.
