WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Federal Railroad Administration’s Railroad Safety Advisory Committee will meet September 19 in Washington, D.C., to discuss grade crossing, fatigue, and trespasser prevention programs, Positive Train Control demonstration projects, and to hear a briefing about ambient noise in train cabs. The meeting is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis, according to a report on the website, OHSonline.com.
The committee advises FRA on rail safety matters and has 53 members in all, 48 of whom are voting representatives. Staffs of the National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Transit Administration participate in an advisory capacity.
