WASHINGTON, D.C. — Just in time to mark its 50th anniversary, the National Railroad Passen-ger Corporation, better known as Amtrak, is getting federal funding. The Department of Transpor-tation’s Federal Railroad Administration is making more than $1.69 billion available to provide re-lief from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
