CLEVELAND, September 16 – Funeral arrangements for Brother G.Y. Bailey have been confirmed.

Calling hours for Brother Bailey will be held on Monday, September 19, at Cypress Creek Brookside Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, at the funeral home with internment immediately following at Forrest Park Westheimer Cemetery.

The funeral home is located at: 9149 North Hwy. 6, Houston, Texas 77095.

Brother Bailey was the local chairman of BLET Division 62 in Houston, Texas. He served as a primary member of the BLET Safety Task Force and as a member of the National Mobilization Team. He also served as Chairman of the Southwestern Convention Meeting in 2004.

Brother Bailey is survived by his wife Kathie, an active member of the Grand International Auxiliary; and four children, Elise, Caylin, Brennan and Ashley.

Brother Bailey, 51, was fatally injured in an accident on September 15. Four other crew members were also injured in the accident, which occurred when one Union Pacific train with two locomotives and 10 cars struck another UP train with two locomotives and three cars, about 60 miles northeast of Houston.

The BLET has been granted party status to the investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board. Members of the Safety Task Force are at the accident scene.
