CLEVELAND, May 27 — BLET member James Gregory Hadden will be laid to rest tomorrow in his hometown of Abbeville, S.C.

Brother Hadden, 35, was one of two CSX crew members killed on May 24 when their train collided with another train near Mineral Springs, N.C. Also killed was Hadden’s conductor, Phillip Crawford, 33.

Brother Hadden was a 10-year veteran of CSX. He joined the BLET on March 1, 2003, and was a proud member of Division 498 in Abbeville, S.C.

Prior to his work with CSX he served in the United States Navy.

Brother Hadden is survived by: parents James and Doris Brown Hadden of Abbeville, S.C.; two sons, Gregory Tre’Shon Hadden of Abbeville, S.C., and Dionte’ Gregory Hadden of Virginia Beach, Va.; sister Stephanie Lynn Farley of Columbia, S.C.; nephew, Andre’ Farley II of Columbia, S.C.; and maternal grandmother, Isabell B. Owens of Abbeville, S.C.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Haigler Street Church of Christ. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, with military honors.
