CLEVELAND, October 16 — BLE General Chairman Bill Hannah was re-elected unanimously by delegates attending the Union Pacific-Western Lines General Committee of Adjustment’s Triennial Convention on October 14.
Re-elected by acclamation were: First Vice Chairman Craig Carstenson (Division 415); Second Vice-Chairman Chuck Fleming (Division 192); Third Vice-Chairman Bill Hill (Division 592) and Secretary-Treasurer Tom Gowan (Division 192).
The elections took place at the UP Western Lines Triennial Convention in Las Vegas. The meetings began on October 14 and will conclude tomorrow.
BLE International President Don Hahs addressed delegates regarding the tentative national contract and the pending IBT merger.
Also in attendance was General Secretary-Treasurer Bill Walpert, who made a presentation on the BLE’s finances, and International Vice-President Lee Pruitt, who served as General Chairman of the UP Western Lines prior to his election at the International level.
General Chairman Gil Gore of the UP Southern Region was also on hand to give a presentation regarding his time claims system.
