GREENWICH, Conn. — Genesee & Wyoming Inc., a regional freight railroad operator, said Friday its November traffic slid 11.9 percent partly because of lower shipments its New York-Ohio-Pennsylvania region.

GWI’s traffic fell by 8,522 carloads to 62,977 carloads compared with a year ago.

Pulp and paper traffic decreased 1,987 carloads, and minerals and stone traffic decreased 1,818 carloads.
